Profile:   Bipasha Gupta (MS family) joined MSSI Delhi Chapter on request of Mrs.Rehmat Fazalbhoy and Mrs. Sheela Chitnis in April 2001 to give a professional touch and strengthen MSSI-Delhi, , because of her dedicated involvement within six months of joining Multiple Sclerosis Society of India she became the Hon. Secretary of MSSI Delhi by unanimous consent of MSSI members. In 2003 she was nominated and elected for the prestigious honorary post of the All India Vice-President of the Governing Council of MSSI. She is at the moment the Hon. Chairperson of MSSI-Delhi which looks after the entire Northern n India.

She has to her credit the success of the popular “DAY CARE” Programme- “Quality of Life” for MS persons, the Home Care Project-“SPARSH”, Projects “VIDYA” ,”SWAYAM” and “PRAFUL”, she takes special interest HOME PHYSIOTHERAPY Project and mobilization of Funds etc. She has installed the MSSI”MS Youth Group” which she intends to turn into a National Programme.

She has represented India through MSSI at:

• MSIF International Conference in Berlin in 2003 ,
• Thessaloniki-Greece in 2005 and
• MSIF International Conference in Prague, Czech Republic in 2007.

• As Ex.President and at the moment ex Officio and Advisor of Panch Shila Ladies Welfare Association (PLWA), an NGO which works for the under privileged through their Charitable Dispensary & Balwadi.
• As life member of All India Women’s Education Fund Association (AIWEFA) an NGO in special consultative status with the economic and social council of the United Nations and also a member of Inner Wheel (Rotary Club)

Profile:  Gp Capt Prabal Malaker retired from the Indian Air Force on 29 Feb 08. A qualified fighter and test pilot, he was diagnosed with progressive MS in 1998, in the prime of his career. Though this effectively put a stop to his career advancement it did not stop him from continuing to live life with zest to the extent possible, with the empathy and support of his family and friends. He is very involved with MSSI-Delhi activities and his responsibility as valuable adviser to the society is much appreciated. He is the Hon. Vice Chairperson of Delhi MSSI.

Profile:   Meenakshi Bhujwala (MS Family) has been working as a volunteer with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India for the last nine years. She was the Hon, Chair Person (2002-2005) of Delhi Chapter and is now Hon. Secretary of the Delhi Chapter and Hon Jt.Secretary -All India Governing Council-MSSI.

She used her strengths and experience from her 20-year experience in the corporate sector and has played a major role in professionalizing the working environment, and towards the development & growth of the Society. She shares the full credit of institutionalizing the key projects of the Delhi Chapter, including the Day Care Programme, Home Visit Project-SPARSH Scholarship Fund-VIDYA, SWAYAM, PRAFUL etc. Meenakshi is also deeply involved on a day-to-day basis with the work of the Society, through its various programmes of creating awareness & fundraising. She is also takes total interest in MSSI-Delhi- Nurse Project. Presently she is looking into the establishment of a Regional Support Group in Punjab and MS- Care Givers Club.

She is a graduate of English Literature from Delhi University and a B Ed from Jamia Millia Islamia University. Meenakshi Bhujwala is also the Ex. President of the Alumni Association of Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi. She also helps many Senior Citizens around her to live effortlessly.

She represented Indian Multiple Sclerosis Society:

Hon Treasurer, MSSI-Delhi

Profile:  Mrs. Khambatta has been in the field of social work since over 40 years. The focus of her work has been women and children—notably through the GUILD OF SERVICE for the rehabilitation of widows and destitute women, where she also arranges "mass community marriages" twice a year for couples from underprivileged families of all religions, under one roof, according to their own religious beliefs, and as a Committee Member of the War Widow’s Association. Diana has also been involved in looking after widows and orphaned children of the Kashmir insurgency and the Godhra riots. She is also a Member of the Committee for the rehabilitation of Women Senior Citizens set up by the Union Government’s Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.

Diana joined Multiple Sclerosis Society of India in 1990 and was elected as the Hon. Chairperson of the Delhi Chapter for the term of 2005 to 2008. Her contribution first as Treasurer (2002-05), then Hon Chairperson and now once more as its Hon Treasurer has been immense. She brings to the Society her wisdom and vast experience of her long years of social service.
