Accept-Adapt-Achieve: A Journey of Strength, Resilience and Possibility

The India MS Day 2026 theme Accept • Adapt • Achieve reflects the lived realities of people affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Acceptance is the first step, acknowledging the diagnosis and the changes it brings with honesty and courage. Adaptation follows, as individuals, families, and caregivers learn to adjust, find new ways forward, and build resilience in everyday life. Achievement is not defined by limitations, but by progress, purpose, and personal victories, big and small. This theme recognises that living with MS is a journey, not a pause, and celebrates the strength, determination, and hope that enable people to continue striving, contributing, and thriving beyond the condition.

Dr. Vikram gave insightful information on how to live to the full. The beauty of his presentation was that everyone, whether one had MS or not could relate to it. The language was very simple and if we follow even 40% of what he said we can live quite a fulfilling life.

On #NationalStatisticsDay, MSSI launched the #IndiaMSMap !

When policies for MS are made – are you counted?

Do you benefit from them?

Do you get to know the latest information to treat MS?

With no comprehensive national data on MS, many get left behind in accessing schemes or resources designed for them. Therefore, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India has launched this initiative. The India MS Map aims to crowd-source mapping of the prevalence of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in India.

Our endeavour is to ensure that no one gets left behind!
