A Day of Strength and Insight at Ruby Hall, Pune

It was a rainy morning in Pune, but not even the downpour could stop the determination of the MS community. With umbrellas in hand and hope in their hearts, 27 Persons with Multiple Sclerosis (PwMS) and their caregivers arrived at Ruby Hall Clinic, ready to be part of a day dedicated to awareness, empowerment, and support.

A Panel of Perspectives: From Symptoms to Diagnosis

The event began with a deeply informative panel discussion on the theme “Symptoms to Diagnosis” — a journey that every PwMS knows well. Bringing together diverse perspectives, the panel featured a neurologist, urologist, ophthalmologist, and clinical counsellor. Their insights illuminated the complex path to an MS diagnosis and the crucial role that different specialists play in identifying early warning signs.

Guiding the session with warmth and wisdom was Ms. Anjali Vyas, MS Person and Joint Secretary of the local chapter, who moderated the discussion. The highlight? An open and interactive Q&A where attendees voiced their doubts and received compassionate, expert answers, a moment of true connection between the community and care providers.

A Token of Gratitude

The doctors who contributed their time and expertise were honoured with heartfelt thank-you letters and small tokens of appreciation, a simple gesture, but one that conveyed immense respect and gratitude from the community.

From Pain to Progress: A Shift in Perspective

Post-refreshments, the energy in the room took on a more introspective tone as the Tej Gyan Foundation led a motivational session titled “Happy Thought”. Centred on the powerful theme “Channelise Pain into Progress”, the session urged everyone to look inward, redefine suffering, and find purpose in their personal journey. A thought-provoking video by Sir Shree touched many hearts and reminded everyone of the strength within.

Together Over a Meal

The day concluded with a wholesome lunch, a time to reflect, share smiles, and build connections. A total of 87 people attended the event, including PwMS, caregivers, volunteers, and staff. Special appreciation goes to the BNY volunteers, whose unwavering support helped the event run smoothly from start to finish.

In Reflection

This event wasn’t just a gathering but a celebration of unity, resilience, and hope. Despite challenges, the MS community continues to rise, support one another, and grow stronger together.
