Puja Chadha Shares Her MS Journey at PDUNIPPD on World MS Day
On 30th May 2025, as the world observed World MS Day, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (PDUNIPPD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, hosted a meaningful seminar titled “My MS Diagnosis: Navigating MS.”
This important event saw Puja Chadha, a person living with Multiple Sclerosis (PwMS) and an active member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) – Delhi Chapter, take the stage as a resource person. In a heartfelt 15-minute physical presentation, Puja spoke on “Living with MS: A Personal Journey.”
Her talk brought to life the emotional and physical challenges of living with MS, an invisible illness that often goes unnoticed. From the shock of diagnosis to the strength it takes to navigate everyday life, Puja’s honest sharing struck a powerful chord with the audience.
The seminar made a particularly strong impact on the students of physiotherapy in attendance. Hearing directly from someone living with MS provided a valuable real-world perspective that textbooks often miss. It deepened their understanding of the condition not just as a clinical diagnosis but as a lived reality.
Through initiatives like this, World MS Day continues to fulfil its mission to raise awareness, build empathy, and foster inclusion for people living with MS. MSSI Delhi extends its gratitude to PDUNIPPD for this opportunity to represent the MS community and amplify voices that truly matter.
