On the evening of May 30th, a powerful symbol of unity and awareness shone across the cityscape, hospitals glowing in orange, the official colour of World MS Day. As the sun set, the facades of several leading hospitals lit up in vibrant orange, standing in solidarity with the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) community.
This symbolic gesture wasn’t just about lighting buildings, it was about igniting conversations around MS, a chronic neurological condition that affects millions worldwide. By turning orange, these hospitals sent a strong message of support, visibility, and hope for people living with MS and their caregivers.
From medical professionals to patients and passersby, the illuminated buildings sparked curiosity and encouraged dialogue on the importance of early diagnosis, accessible treatment, and empathy in care. It was a reminder that awareness begins with visibility, and every light switched on was a step closer to a world where MS is better understood and better managed.
We thank all participating institutions for helping the MS community shine a little brighter this World MS Day.
