A Resounding Webinar of Hope and Strength
On May 4, 2025, MSSI Delhi Chapter hosted the 1st World Multiple Sclerosis Day 2025 Webinar in India, bringing together people with Multiple Sclerosis (PwMS) and their caregivers for an unforgettable afternoon of learning, support and empowerment.
This special session, “MS: Emotional Impact and Support,” provided much-needed insight into the often-overlooked emotional side of living with MS. With 114 participants joining from across India, the webinar became a virtual space where individuals could listen and share and find strength in their shared experiences.
Expert Voices Lighting the Way
The session was graced by the expertise and energy of two brilliant, young neuro-physicians:
- Dr. Kamakshi Dhamija, Senior Consultant, Max Vaishali (Max Healthcare)
- Dr. Ayush Agarwal, Assistant Professor, Neurology, AIIMS, New Delhi
Their engaging talk shed light on how MS impacts not just the body but also the mind and emotions. They offered practical strategies for managing emotional challenges, recognising mental health warning signs and building resilience, all framed with compassion and scientific clarity.
A Beacon of Community and Support
Far beyond a medical talk, the webinar became a sanctuary of empathy and shared strength. Participants found solace in hearing that they were not alone. The session created a space of solidarity, understanding and collective resilience, turning individual struggles into a united front of courage.
