In a significant step towards creating awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) awareness, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) Chennai Chapter partnered with the Postgraduate and Research Department of Social Work, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu to commemorate World MS Day. On May 3rd, over 12 PG students and around 20 individuals living with MS, along with their caregivers, gathered at the office for an enlightening session.

Mrs. Ann Gonsalvez, Honourable Secretary of MSSI Chennai Chapter, delivered an impactful PowerPoint presentation, shedding light on the organisation’s tireless efforts to uplift individuals with MS. The highlight of the event was the personal interactions between students and MS warriors, fostering empathy and deepening understanding of the condition.

This innovative academic collaboration aimed to:

  • Illuminate the complexities of MS
  • Nurture empathy and awareness among students
  • Ignite academic pursuits in the field of MS

As a token of appreciation, a heartfelt momento was presented to Mrs. Ann Gonsalvez, recognising her unwavering dedication to the MSSI cause.
