World MS Day – An Overview
World MS Day, observed annually on 30th May, serves as a powerful platform to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis and show solidarity with the 2.9 million people worldwide affected by the condition. This day fosters global unity, celebrates resilience and inspires hope for a brighter future.
Initiated by the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) in 2009, World MS Day aims to ignite a global movement advocating for those affected by MS. Each year a unique theme is embraced, and for 2026, the focus is ‘Navigating MS Together’. This theme underpins the MS Connections campaign, which aims to strengthen community bonds, enhance self-awareness and promote access to quality care.
World MS Day is more than just an observance; it’s a call to action. It’s an opportunity to advocate for improved services, celebrate the invaluable support networks and champion self-care.
Join us in this movement. Let’s connect support and ensure no one living with MS is left behind.
