The Indian Medical Association, Tamil Nadu Branch, invited MSSI, Chennai Chapter to a get-together at Coimbatore to observe Mother’s Day on Sunday, the 12th of May 2024. The meeting was attended by about 100 doctors of various specialities, along with their spouses and mothers, as also about 100 nurses, it being “Nurses Day” also that day. Mrs Ann Gonsalvez, Founder Member and Hon. Secretary, Chennai Chapter, along with Mr D.Shivakumar and Mrs Chitra Ramachandran, Committee Members graced the occasion. Mrs. Ann Gonsalvez spoke on “Navigating Multiple Sclerosis Together” for a length of 30 minutes with a PPT presentation. It was well received by one and all, as the queries that came up during dinner were numerous.

Mrs.Ann Gonsalvez, was honoured with a plaque as a token of appreciation by IMA, Tamil Nadu, for her distinguished service to the community through the serving persons with Multiple Sclerosis. Dr.K.M.Abdul Hassan, President, IMA, Tamil Nadu handed over the plaque in the presence of Dr.A.K.Ravi Kumar, National Chairman, Hospital Board of India, Chairman, IMA & Members of the Governing Board of IMA, Tamil Nadu.

A colourful pageant by doctors and a sumptuous dinner followed.
