Talk by Dr. Srikanth Jawalkar

By Hyderabad No Comments

In our October monthly meeting which was held on 21/10/2018, we MSSI Hyderabad chapter invited Dr. Srikanth Jawalkar a senior consultant neurologist with 40 years of experience.

He had a one to one interaction with PwMS and caregivers.

Dr Srikanth a Senior consultant with Apollo and Yashoda hospitals, shared facts on MS and its management to new depths.

One of the vital insight into MS management is that anxiety may exist alongside the various drugs which are being used to manage MS today and the same should not be treated as exigency.

Different people respond in a different manner to the medication hence efficacy and result of any medication cannot be generalized.

Awareness is a key important issue as an early diagnosis of MS does help in managing the ailment effectively in the long run and helps maintain a better quality of life for the affected individuals

Insight on a number of drugs was spoken and he emphasized on physiotherapy for effective management.
